Plus 20,000 euros for the hospital in Boyarka:
the "Heat League" challenge expands the circle of participants
The company “Huawei Ukraine” joined the charity challenge for heating hospitals and maternity homes. This will allow the start of heating work at another medical institution – the Central District Hospital in Boyarka.
The challenge of heating hospitals and maternity homes continues. Huawei Ukraine announced today that it has joined the “League of Heat” – an open charity initiative to heat Ukrainian maternity homes. The company transferred 20,000 euros, which makes it possible to start heating work with alternative heating of the next medical facility – the Central District Hospital in Boyarka, Kyiv region.
The maternity hospital in the city of Okhtyrka, Sumy Oblast, was the first to receive heating from the Heat League, thanks to a contribution from Vodafone Ukraine and Watsons Ukraine. The work there has already been completed.
“Our main strength is how we unite around solving problems and find solutions against all odds. I am glad that new companies are joining the Heat League and I thank everyone who responded to our call,” says Olga Ustinova, CEO of Vodafone Ukraine.
“Let the world welcome newborns with the warmth of a mother’s arms and our common concern for comfort in maternity hospitals! Even in spite of winter and frost, our hearts are full of warmth and energy of life. “League of Heat” unites partners for a good cause,” says Luo Binh, Deputy CEO of Huawei Ukraine.
About “League of Heat”:
“League of Heat” is a charity challenge launched by Vodafone to provide alternative sources of heating to maternity homes in cities that have suffered destruction.
There are many medical institutions that need such support. But one company will not be able to do much, because heat supply projects are too expensive. Therefore, “Heat League” is an open initiative that any company can join. For this, it is necessary to transfer 20,000 euros for heating the maternity homes with alternative heating and publicly announce the joining of the “League of Heat”. The CEO of the company can do this on his pages in social networks, wearing his favorite warm scarf – a symbol of the project.
The partner of the initiative is the charitable foundation “Tvoya opora”, which is one of the largest foundations in Ukraine. Heating can also be financed independently – through a self-selected fund or contractor. Ready to join the Heat League or want to learn more about the project?
