The "League of Heat" challenge is gaining momentum
- Privat Bank joined the initiative
New companies are joining a charitable initiative launched by Vodafone to unite responsible businesses around the task of heating hospitals and maternity homes.
On the eve of the New Year, PrivatBank took up the “Heat League” challenge, adding EUR 20,000 to the joint bank for alternative heating of maternity homes and hospitals. This amount will be used for the purchase and installation of equipment in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Center of the intensive care hospital in Boyarka, Kyiv region. In peacetime, about 1,200 babies were born there a year.
The essence of the project is a technical solution that is almost independent of energy supply – the energy of the simplest generator is enough. Heat pumps are installed in the rooms of maternity hospitals, which collect thermal energy from the air and supply it to the room with the help of heat exchangers.
Anyone can join the initiative: any company or private person. Businesses need only fill out an application at https://www.ligatepla.com.ua/. Private individuals can join the Heat League by using the QR code, or make a contribution using the details indicated on the same website.
About “League of Heat”:
“League of Heat” is a charity challenge launched by Vodafone to provide alternative sources of heating to maternity homes in cities that have suffered destruction.
There are many medical institutions that need such support. But one company will not be able to do much, because heat supply projects are too expensive. Therefore, “Heat League” is an open initiative that any company can join. For this, it is necessary to transfer 20,000 euros for heating the maternity homes with alternative heating and publicly announce the joining of the “League of Heat”. The CEO of the company can do this on his pages in social networks, wearing his favorite warm scarf – a symbol of the project.
The partner of the initiative is the charitable foundation “Tvoya opora”, which is one of the largest foundations in Ukraine. Heating can also be financed independently – through a self-selected fund or contractor. Ready to join the Heat League or want to learn more about the project? Then fill out the application at https://www.ligatepla.com.ua/
